took the weekend off

I did, actually, intentionally take the weekend off from almost the entire internet.  I did check email on Sunday afternoon briefly, but otherwise stayed away from Livejournal, Twitter, Facebook, and all of my usual other sites (Lostpedia, DrunkDuck, the other webcomics I read, etc.)

I can't say I got anything accomplished.  A little bit of laundry ( Read more... )

I had no clue that he could sing. Three attaboys for the writers that could come up with such a light hearted closing song!

Yes, he is a talented singer. He played the dual role of The Balladeer and Lee Harvey Oswald in the decidedly not light-hearted Roundabout Theater production of Stephen Sondheim's "Assassins" a few years back, played The Emcee in "Cabaret," and recorded a great rendition of Sondheim's "Evening Primrose" (a role originally played on television, on Playhouse 90, I think, by Anthony Perkins).

Oh and check out "Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog" on the internet.

I loved Superman II! Should I check out the Richard Donner cut? I actually haven't seen that movie since way back when maybe they showed it on TV or something.

I would say see it for the sake of comparison and to see what his original vision was like. I would also say watch the making of documentary, which is short (less than half an hour) but explains one thing that sorta bugged me about Donner's ending for #2.

Other than that ... hey, any reason to watch Terrence Stamp, Sara Douglas and Gene Hackman chew the scenery is a good reason, right?
