Yep but at the same time, I think you should, just because you can. Even if he never responds, the satisfaction is in the writing at the very least... if you'll feel good having sent it then do it.

Otherwise, print it out and save the thing, because it's an AWESOME letter.

The man...is stuck...I could speculate what's wrong with him, but I'm not going to do it here.

I think you might as well send this...I think he'll just go on defensive and find some reason to blame you for something or get mad...but what difference will that make? You already wrote it, it's how you feel, and I think he should know. Whether or not he'll pay attention, I don't know...likely not, but in my opinion it's not a bad idea to at least tell him.

I would say though, call him Dad...not by name. Starting out like that will automatically stop him from listening...also, you need to remind him that he IS indeed your father. Otherwise it's pretty well written...not sure if it'll make a dang difference if he reads it, but it's already written so what the heck...

WOW I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH YOU!!

LP you continue to amaze me- send it. You have a lot of courage, and you are trying, and HE NEEDS TO HEAR THIS.

Oh man when I read this I started cheering out loud thinking you'd already sent it, and Simon was all, WTF.
