You know those fanfics that you read for guilty pleasure, the ones that aren't particularly good, but the plot is what you want, and it's such a silly plot that generally only the less skilled writers will bother tackling it?

And then sometimes, you end up writing one of those yourself, because you have an idea but can't find it anywhere to read,

That said, there are several novels, like officially released and theoretically canonical novels, in which the TARDIS is human(oid.) Just....you know. If you happen to be interested. ^____^;;

That? Is a wonderful idea. My Who canon is only since the reboot, so anything pre Doctor Nine is a blur for me. Have you read the novels? (Humanoid Tardis or otherwise?) I see them sitting there on the shelf at the bookshop, and they do tend to call a bit. :)
