You know those fanfics that you read for guilty pleasure, the ones that aren't particularly good, but the plot is what you want, and it's such a silly plot that generally only the less skilled writers will bother tackling it?
And then sometimes, you end up writing one of those yourself, because you have an idea but can't find it anywhere to read, so you write it and then shamefully don't show it to anyone. It sits, in pieces, on your hard drive and you laugh at it sometimes.
I have one of those hidden fics:
The Doctor visits a world where technology takes on life. Amy's cellphone turns into a butterfly. His screwdriver is a little mouse. And he can't find his Tardis because, you know, she's off having fun as a human.
And now I don't even need it, 'cause thank you Mister Gaiman. :) Seriously, that episode was such a guilty pleasure trip for me. I sighed happily through the whole thing.
