MAY DAY - and a MOVIE
In spite of LJ's calendar it's still May 1st here. This is always a lovely day to celebrate. Many many years ago I marched in parades for a virgin mother goddess, and laid prayers and flowers at her feet. I was wearing a Catholic parochial school uniform. YULETIDE GREETINGS
It's exactly midnight in my time zone - Hark the Herald Angels Sing! and all of that. Tenor, baritone and bass preferably - not too happy with the current emphasis on girlie angels in Victorian dresses. Very pretty, but not the scary, androgynous beauties I imagine. LEARNED LESSON AND BIG MANGA DAY
This weekend I learned a Very Important Lesson: turn on the Japanese version of the anime. YES, some of the American voice people are doing nice work, but the comparisons can be fascinating. I find Japanese male voice actors incredibly hot, lots of midnight velvet voices there, mmmmm mmmmm, and the U.S. has more tenors for the English versions ( Read more... ) -

Tomorrow morning I hop a plane to O'Hare, then fly later on that night to Dublin, Ireland to begin a week long stay. SOLSTICE GREETINGS
I am totally wasted - 6 kinds of Christmas cookies in one day will wreck the back, the feet... and tomorrow is worse. Many hours will be spent, rolling out hundreds of gingerbread and sugar cookies. IMPROVING THE WEEK
