Correct me if I'm wrong, szaleniec, but minister in reference to a preacher/priest is an American term, isn't it?
It depends on the denomination. There are some who refer to them as ministers, but the main ones don't. What stood out more was that in the UK you can't get married if it's just the two of you and whatever you call the person presiding over it, but you need two witnesses. They don't necessarily have to know you, but they do have to be there and (well) witness the ceremony and the signing of the register. Maybe you can in Brazil; I don't know and I doubt Neil did either.
