You know, I should feel bad about mocking her, given that English IS her second language, but... well, any slack I cut her on that gets lost in the utter bastardizing of canon.

I know what you mean. I do try to distinguish language-barrier-induced errors from plain bad writing whenever I can, because I know what learning a second language is like.
