I went and got my student status extended for my student card and travel card today. It's always a bit creepy, every time I do that I'm expecting for them to suddenly ask for a filled-out form in coloured paper that I have never heard of. But it went relatively smoothly, although I forgot to go to (one of the) the Uni library(/ies) to get my status

Hehe, your topic line reminded me of my current situation, where:

a) I'm on a partial leave of absence and thus earn something like 1000 euros this month

b) Have to pay 450 euros for plane tickets to Belgium that I had to buy for myself for my congress trip in September (refundable later on, thank goodness)

c) Have to pay another 450 for my new glasses

d) Possibly have to pay vet bills for cats that got something nasty from the animal care center they were at

e) And hey, I think I had a house loan as well... (Which at the moment is something like 900 euros a month!)

f) Financial planning = EPIC FAIL.

I can see your problem.

Actually, what I neglected to mention in my recent entries is that I'm also getting new glasses. And I've only paid half of them thus far, so when I go pick them up it'll be another 170 € off the budget...

Erh, I think I'm not saying anything about my financial situation. I've never seen this much money in my life. And since the shopping facilities in Kitee are quite limited I haven't really spent even a percent of it (yet).
