It sucks that I haven't had time to post in the last 3 months. But in 4 days I'll be done with the 2 classes I'm taking and I'll be so glad to have my free time back! Just in time for my 31st birthday, too, which is on Friday

Do you mean the italicized portion of my entry? If so, I mentioned before the quote that it was from my sociology textbook.

I don't see any grammar problems with that paragraph.

My use of Bush's picture was some ironic contrast to the textbook's statement that other countries aren't as good as our's at checks and balances. Yes, the textbook was written post-Patriot Act post-9/11 (going by references to the event) and it has a copyright date of 2005.

I'm vain as hell. But I liked 30 a lot. I'd like to stay at 30, actually. It was just right. A woman finally starts coming into her own then, hopefully.

Maybe it's just me. But I had crawled through some really tough shit at that point and it finally all started coming together. I knew more about myself, what I would and wouldn't do or put up with, I met the boy and we moved in, we bought a house, we travelled. It was a great year.

Nope. It's when we're coming out of debt, we might actually enjoy being together and married instead of poor and married. Sure we got married a little before I was 30, but it counts. And if we have kids it'll happen in my 30s. So yeah. I don't think it's just you. :)
