Laundry / Betrayal

I hate doing laundry but I hate going somewhere else to do it even more. Now that I don’t have a washer to do it at home I realize that I would be much happier if I had one at home, in my house just so I wouldn’t have to lug my dirty laundry to the Laundromat or to my moms house and lug my wet laundry back home again. When I take it to my moms I ( Read more... )

You don't need this on top of everything. I'm sorry you're friend betrayed you and did this to your parents.

And I understand how you feel...even if it wasn't your fault, she was your friend and she affected your family so that is hard to take.

*hugs*

Thanks. I wish things could have been different. I wish she hadn't done this to my parents. They have had a rough year, another friend of theirs took advantage of them and an employee embezelled money from my dads business so it was just another rough blow. My mom is really depressed right now so it hurts a lot to feel like I caused some of that. I needed that hug, thanks. *smooch*

Ugh, wth is wrong with people? Reading that made me want to puke. Friends...odd bunch they are.

Check out freecycle http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freecycleknoxville/
If you don't find a washer the first time you post, give a week or two, especially after Xmas. Eventually you'll get one. Especially if people get one from Xmas, they'll probably post to give it away there. It's a busy list, but I've gotten a lot of stuff from it that I needed.
The local papers sometimes have them for sale for fifty bucks or so.

I know, I can't understand it. The whole time she said, "I don't want to screw things up with your parents, I love them" -she used to call my dad, dad. They always treated her like their daughter. Her stepdad treated her badly and they were always there for her, that's why when the house was available they let her move in.

I belong to freecycle, but everytime a washer has been up I haven't gotten to it in time. That's how I got my dryer: http://sweeetpeaches.livejournal.com/142438.html
I have been looking for a futon for Elle on there but everytime I see one it's already taken by the time I get to it. :( She has one but the frame is broken and about to fall apart (I don't know how it hasn't yet) I got it from freecycle originally a few years ago.

To thine own self be true...you acted honourably and with generosity as did your parents to someone who was in apparent need...
it is sad but true that there are always people prepared to take the advantage in such situations but that doesn't make you bad or a bad daughter, or even wrong to have done what you did... the outcome may not be great for you or for your parents...but you will live... the girl with the problems is your friend- she may have saved a dollar or two or more on the way through- but she has lost the right to your friendship and generous nature... her conscience may be such that she sleeps well in the circumstances ... not your problem... though the loss of the machine and your parents loss of rent may leave you with other problems, don't take her guilt on board and make your problems worse .

You always make such good sense. (hugs)

p.s. What does the 491 mean?

WWJD what would Jesus do

491... no limits . how many times should I forgive my brother, as many as seven times,(asked Peter..shall I give myself a pat on the back?) not seven times but seventy times seven(and that does not mean you can stop when you reach 70X7 ...70X7 was a symbolic number which in this context meant no limits..

I really like your icon.
I manage. I spend an entire day doing laundry, unfortunately doing laundry somewhere else means I don't get things done around the house on those days. Hopefully soon I'll get a new one. I am hoping for a front loader.

I don't know that she is worth the effort to find. *sigh*

I know what I want, I just have to wait to have the money for it. I love the front loader, the reason I use the laundromat I use is because they have front loaders...heck they have the front loader I want...well the same brand anyway. Floor space isn't an issue luckily, just money.
