I thought (by the traier) Sherlock Holmes looked watchable but was wayyyy stylised. I'm not a big fan of the remake & stylisation of old (especially timeless) things in general, it's disappointing. I did think Watson looked funny though xD I don't know the characters at all, so I don't think I'd be bothered personally by any discrepancies, but that's another reason I'm wary about the movie. Watching a movie before reading the book brainwashes my mind too much XD

My only problem with Irene's age is that they keep making movies where the lead guy is in his 40's or even 50's and the lead girl is in her 20-30's. (My personal favorites are the ones like Ghost Rider or A Good Year, where they're supposed to be roughly the same age, but the guy is mysteriously 20 years older.)

I don't have a problem with age differences at all irl, just with the double standard I've been seeing in Hollywood.
