It seems to you, the thing to do is isolate the winner

This is pretty much the coolest thing ever. I foresee myself binding a book in my near future.

Yesterday, my mom and I went to visit the University of the Pacific, which I'm considering in my college search. (ugh.) The music profs weren't there, so I think we're going to see about visiting again to go sit in on classes and stuff. You know, it's a ( Read more... )

I have a friend who wants to be a writer. When she was looking into colleges, and now grad schools, she goes for the least artsy and creative atmospheres. She says that people get too full of themselves when they try to be creative around other people.

Emerson is a good, creative school, but its in Boston.

Least creative? Interesting thought, lol. I guess since I've been dying to know people who are creative in music, I want to go to schools that are hubs for that kind of stuff. Ha, I bet it's really hard if she wants to do writing though. UGH, this whole college search is just frustrating.

O HAY - I added you because we're in a lot of the same communities, we have tons of stuff in common, and you seem awesome. Add me back, please?

Good luck with your college search. You can be around creative people if you go to a university, but you'll have to take general education classes too, and then you won't. . . but once you start taking classes of your major, you will. :) I'm an art history major at Cal State Long Beach, btw.

I love high-waisted pants! It's so hard to find them with all the low ones around, ugh. Anything that seems 70s is awesome.

I love your Marie Antoinette idea!

Thanks :D

Aw, well, hopefully you'll find the perfect one. Which Cal State schools were you looking at, if I may ask?

Ooh, awesome! It's the next best thing to owning real vintage stuff, and way less expensive. ;)

Well, I was just looking at them in general. Cal State East Bay is really close by, so I'm thinking I might go there for the first two years if money's an issue. Plus, they're supposed to have a good music program. Mostly, I want to go to Cal Arts or some other such art scohol, though.

Good luck with the college-hunting! ;)) I can't give you any real advice for the obvious reasons (cultural/geographical differences blah blah blah) save for one: don't let anyone turn you back from what you chose, seriously. I didn't and it turned out really good for me, it's an amazing feeling. Also good luck with your compositions, your ideas sound awesome to me, history FTW!
