sure asexuals could feel something if someone were to touch their physical body parts, i don't KNOW if it is a certainty for everyone or if some people don't feel something if someone were to touch them, i imagine mostly everyone would feel something like the sexual people feel when it came to sex (physically) just the biological reactions or whatever it's called, something being touched so it reacts, of course noone reacts in the same way, but does not mean asexuals like it or want it or are suddenly gonna become not asexual. i think it is weird that so many people can't understand asexuals do not want sex. some people do not want icecream or to go to the beach or to look at the rain but with anything other than sex it is always just "oh that's personal preference" like they're allowed to not like something just so long as it's not sex. what does it matter, there's plenty of people having lots of sex for those poor little folk who are so concerned about the asexuals not getting any, so they can think long and hard and all day about ( ... )

Yeah, most of the time people will acknowledge that a gay guy could like getting a sexual favor from a woman and it wouldn't suddenly mean he's attracted to the woman. But for some reason an asexual person who isn't attracted to anyone couldn't possibly like stimulation. Whatever.

'You can't argue with me, it's scientific fact!' and 'you can't argue with me, it's my personal opinion!' at the same time? That's some serious doublethink right there.

I know, it's amazing, isn't it? YOU'RE WRONG BECAUSE BIOLOGY! BUT YOU CAN'T SAY I'M WRONG BECAUSE OPINION!

Geez, I guess these people were too busy failing biology in college to take Logic 101.

Yeah. Considering a) the human population is not in danger of extinction due to lack of reproduction and b) nobody attacks and demeans people as useless or suggests they do not exist if they are infertile, yeah, it's extremely silly to claim asexual people can't exist because nature can't possibly create people whose attraction experiences don't push them toward making babies.

In his last argument, he changes tactic and tries to redefine asexual. him - asexual = lack of sex drive. No, asexual = lack of sexual attraction. Either way, people also lack desire and drive. You can argue bullshit evolutionary psychology all you want, but make a bloody observation! Is he arguing with our feelings? He might as well argue that there is no such thing as disliking sweet because liking sweet is evolutionary advantageous. And all the stuff about being gay you mentioned.

All that you say here is true! People do like to oversimplify and say YOU CAN'T BE ASEXUAL BECAUSE BABIES. I guess it's a fine line between saying some people don't have this biological "imperative" AND THAT'S OKAY vs. some people don't have this biological "imperative" AND THAT MEANS YOU'RE BROKEN. I've admitted many times before that if the ONLY way to be a successful human being, in this person's mind, is to procreate, then sure, we non-reproducing asexuals and everyone else who hasn't procreated are failures. But considering a) people can succeed, have purpose, and leave legacies in TONS OF WAYS besides having descendents, and b) people who make this argument tend to excuse infertile people as long as they WANT to have children because what's really important to them is the urge, not the actual reproducing, their argument falls on its face. Somehow I don't see them getting in the faces of everyone who uses birth control and screaming OMG UNNATURAL!!!, but they sure don't mind doing it to us. It all goes back to their ( ... )
