It is truly unfortunate that good people /employees have to put up with such stupidity and the closed mindedness from folks that are obviously concerned with their Own short comings, I have seen the action and the resolve of such stupidity in action and I can say that your patience is something to be applauded in the face of complete Malcontent. It is obvious to me that your management from work like many other from the same disposition have truly no clue who and what makes their business run with the efficiency that it does have, I know that you have given more to that place then they have ever deserved being paid or not I know the pride and the want to do the job that you show to the best of your ability for as long as you so choose to be their. that place only runs have as good because you are their! ANd perhaps in the future they will understand that like I understand that you are not one that has to be watched and told and that you are a small part of this business yes but a most important part, they should learn not to put a ( ... )

This is the kind of crap companies pull when they have a good employee but don't want to compensate her properly for it. :\

Any company has a conflict between money and customers. Believe it or not, to higher ups, the customer is not most important, but taking their money is.

A while back they gave you hours of 6 am to 2 pm or thereabouts, and you kinda liked it because it reduced your exposure to customers. Would that be feasible for them to do again? I kinda remember that they didn't like that schedule because that would mean more hours to cover, and they didn't want to give more hours.

But maybe your managers can get off their lazy asses and come in? There must be management issues that they need to handle as well, without customer interference. Shit, if you come in an earlier bus and there is a person to let you in, that would help right there.

The basic solution in any case is to have you exposed less to customers. If they can staff a customer support person at roughly the time your shipment comes in, then you can focus on stocking your shipment.

It sucks that I don't have the people skills to be a manager.

Isn't that sad? It's not so much about making people happy as it is about making sure they're satisfied enough to keep giving them money.

No, I'm afraid not, because they did such things in order to get stock out and projects done, and now it's more important to them to save money and just staff the store, and yell at us if we don't get our shit done. The company has cut back on labor dollars and if you have a person who leaves at 2 after an eight-hour shift, you have to pay more people to continue working until the store is closed.

In the BAM I used to work at all the managers had the cleaning before shelving style. It used to drive me crazy, but then I was a part-time, lazy, non-perfectionist.
