Sadly, I find myself not caring how intelligently the writers (yay Gaiman!) adapted it - I don't want to see it because the visuals look terrible. Apparently they're using the same motion capture/CGI technique that Zemeckis used for "The Polar Express", and the clip they showed on Spike TV looked like a high-end video game trying to be "300". :(
