Someone else commented that today was the sort of day you want to remember. So I'm posting mostly to remind myself where I was and what I was doing today

The correct wording is straight from the Constitution:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute
the office of president of the United States, and will to the best
of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the constitution of
the United States."

(Most presidents have added their name to the front and a "so help me God" to the end.)

Thanks! I saw on the news that they re-did the oath just to be sure it's legit.

I would have thought the Chief Justice would have had a card to read from or something like that.
