Thank you for posting the link to the video. It looks awesome! To sidetrack from the main comment, I always love Supernatural promos because they're different from promos for other shows. They incorporate such awesome ideas.

Anyways, I think Eric Kripke may have some things in store for us. He's showing Dean to be more of a killer nowadays, and Sam to be more of a savior for a reason. He could twist it around during any episode. We'll just have to continue to watch and see what happens.

Yeah, we all have really jumped on the whole "Sam turns evil" thing, while given his current state of mind, it'd be easier to see Dean go that way (not that I want to in any shape or form), I guess it'd just be more shocking that "innocent harmless young man" Sam goes all Dark Side ( ... )

There is definitly a darkness to Dean's mindset that doesn't seem to exist with Sam. I suppose that's one of the things that makes me like him more. Given their childhood I'm a little surprised that Sam isn't more like Dean in that respect. Basically they have been fighting a war since they were children, so I would expect some darkness to their personalities.

As for skipping the first born with I'm curious about that one as well. I hope the question gets answered in the near future.

Honestly, I think Sam has plenty of darkness... I've seen several posts indicating that people think he's pure or something, which is beyond my capacity to understand. Several times in the first season, he wanted to abandon victims. He walked away from Pa Bender and Kathleen, and he'd have to be pretty dumb not to realize what walking away would mean. He didn't appear to feel anything for SueAnn when the reaper took her, possibly due to his label of her as "evil" (as opposed to Dean's more compassionate "desperate") when they figured out she was the one. He argued strenuously against doing everything they could to get John back in Devil's Trap, and he pressed to interrogate Meg further to find out where the demon was when Dean told him to finish the exorcism, knowing there was a demon inside her that was tormenting her. He stood by, and in fact stood BACK, when they were facing Mrs Tanner in Croatoan, not protesting her execution, but not willing to pull the trigger himself ( ... )

(My references to abandoning victims are for Wendigo and Scarecrow... I thought I should clarify that, since I went right into talking about Pa Bender and SueAnn, who aren't in that category.)

I never said Sam was pure. I just believe that Dean has more of a darkside to him the Sam. They are both have darkness to their natures, but Sam seems less so then Dean.

Sam is not perfect by any means I fully acknowlege that as well. BTW when I said I prefer him, I ment Dean. However, if one of them went to the "dark side" I see it being

aha. but i just realized, we're all looking so much into this. its been put out there basically that sam is destined for evil and dean is destined for good. but their mindset or whatever is vice versa. deans the one in the dark place right now and sam's more of a person who wants to apply morals and everything else. what if that's just it? you never know who you're dealing with, you never know who people truly are. so maybe sam just appears to be the one not in that dark place, and even though dean is in that dark place right now he really is only human and sometimes we all go to those dark places. dean cares about his job but more then that he cares about sam and he cared about john. losing john was a big deal to him so of course he'd slip into this dark hole that he's been in since john's death, especially since finding out or getting confirmation that it was because of him or whatever. but sam is so...undark? i guess you could say that it wouldn't really surprise me if it is the way they say it. dean is good and sam is evil. just ( ... )

Last night one of my friends told me about the promo. She said that Sam mentioned something about saving as many people as he possibly can. Then I said, "so much for Sam being evil, I guess??" and I had the idea of Dean becoming evil instead pop into my mind, but then I shrugged it off, lol.

I honestly don't want either one of them to become evil, but I think that if we have to have one of them, it wouldn't be so predictable if it was Dean.
