some realizations/thoughts/possibilities...

1) doctors don't have to be smart in that they don't have to use their intellects in order to be good doctors. learning medicine is basically memorizing a bunch of stuff. practicing medicine well is basically regurgitating the right bits of that stuff at the right time in order to figure out what's wrong ( Read more... )

So the show I've been directing went up this weekend and if I may say so myself, IT WAS AMAZING!!

I mean, for a student theater group, it was one of the greatest projects I have ever been a part of (and I am not just tooting my own horn here). The whole thing just came together so well. We converted a classroom into a theater space by taking out ( Read more... )

So, I've been watching the bbc series 'skins' and it is pretty great. It's basically a british (duh) teen drama/comedy with lots of drugs and sex and other teenagery things. I heard of it because Dev Patel of Slumdog Millionaire is in it, and he mentioned it in some interview or something. Anyway, try it out, I think you'd like it!
