I have come to the conclusion that I am a poor cook. I'm not a bad cook, but I'm just not that great at it. Give me a meal in a box and I can whip it up no problem. What?  Susie is evolving!  Susie evolved from Travel Secretary/Receptionist at the Physics Dept. to Editorial Coordinator for the Environmental Science and Technology Journal at SPEA.  She has learned "higher salary".

Today is my 2-year anniversary with the Physics Department.  That's right, two years ago I walked into this department wide-eyed and bushy-tailed.  I knew this was going to be a great stepping stone to a better job, but it would be great while I was here.

I've been doing a LOT of hole punching lately.  A LOT.  I'm putting together tenure dossiers for three faculty members and it's remarkably tedious and precise.  I have to hole punch everything and put it in fancy binders.

It's me again!  I have another job interview sometime next week at the West European Studies Department.  I know surprisingly little about Western Europe.  Anyways, I'm not going to get my hopes up, because I lack skills with Dreamweaver and publishing websites, but you never know.

Apparently my veins are too small to donate plasma.  It's fine when giving blood, but since they take blood, separate the plasma, and then put the blood back, it causes more pressure on the veins.  Mine are too small.  Well, except for one, which is next to a tendon, so they wouldn't want to use it ( Read more... )
