Personally, I don't mind paying for virtual gifts for others. (And I have a Permanent Account.)

I'm not entirely sure if I understand what you want to do. Do you want to allow Paid users to give free, unlimited Virtual Gifts? If yes, I don't think that's a good idea, as it would allow someone to pay a few dollars for a month of Paid time and essentially give out thousands of V-Gifts, which might be used for spamming or harassment and also increase server load.

If you're suggesting free vgifts to all Paid users, then absolutely not. VGifts are a source of income for LiveJournal, and taking that away makes absolutely no business sense.

That being said, giving a limited number per month might be something to consider...

Sure! If you purchase paid time-- whether for yourself or for someone else-- you get X free virtual gifts as a bonus. That sounds fair.
