I do not like the new advertising by way of free gifts. It would be great if paid or perm members could completely opt out of receiving them.
Full description of the idea
The Pepsi ads are only going to be around for a month, then something else will take its place. Soon, LJ will be like myspace with a fully revamped homepage for an advertisement. Thankfully, I use an old style that doesn't display the changes that occur around the holidays, so I would not be affected by it.
As I paid for this service, I would like the chance to opt out of getting these v-gifts completely. I am even willing to pay an extra amount just so I don't have to see these things. I want to pay to have no advertising, please.

- LJ won't be Myspace
All of the other paid & perms on LJ will hate you less
I won't regret the purchase of my perm acct
If you let me pay for absolutely no advertising, you get more money
An ordered list of problems/issues involved
- It might be difficult to exclude just these gifts
Pepsi and other companies may be reluctant to advertise with you if they can't display their ads on everyone's profiles
An organized list, or a few short paragraphs detailing suggestions for implementation
- No idea
