I'd like a qoute database, similar to the Scrapbook, but for quotes instead of pictures.

Ahhh, sorry. I meant, where would these quotes come from to make up this database? Would this be a list that the user compiles individually, or would they be snippets culled from people's public entries, or would they come from a quotes community like metaquotes, etc.?

The last one might be okay, since I think it requires permission on the part of the one being quoted, but the second one might be a breach of privacy (even with public entries), and the first one... it's just as easy to collect these quotes in Notepad and then copy and paste them as needed.

It's a nice idea, considering that as it is communities are a poor substitute for a real QDB, and that people do try (I've seen a few floating around), but I think for that kind of functionality, you're better off getting an off-site solution.

It is kind of tangential to the site's main function as a journal, as well. I don't see as much of a parallel with Scrapbook as you do.
