I'm trying to collect what I found so far, much of which came in discussions with _irrlicht_ yesterday and today. I seriously think I have NEVER been this excited about any upcoming story ( Read more... )

yaaaay :D it's out there now.

...but you know what, i have a new one. the whole 90ies theory, brilliant as it is, is distorted by one thing: amy's alarm clock says 2010. O__O

Yeah, I was thinking about that, too. I mean they can't have accidentally gone to Amy's bedroom in 2010 when it was supposed to be in the 90, right? I still don't know if we can believe he actually brought her back 5 mins after they left, but it can't be 20 years later :D
GAH I don't know.

yeah, i was wondering that, too. but i mean, 20 years later you'd think someone would've cleaned up a LITTLE and she shouldve noticed. on the other hand, the doctor missing the right time again and again is suspicious in itself. it's not just a day, too, he keeps missing by years!
haaa its so exciting and mind-boggling and i feel like i should sent steven moffat a gift or something :D

Exactly! But especially the ring and dress being exactly where they left them, not to mention everything else too, just don't make sense if he's TWENTY YEARS late. You'd think her aunt, if she exists, would have changed something in all that time.

Heeeee I know, we should send him a gift basket :D

What about the fact that for the first time ever (at least in the new series? Did he ever manage in Old Who?), the Doctor SUPPOSEDLY managed to get to Amy's bedroom the exact time he meant to, 5 minutes after they left?

Yes, I've been thinking about that, too! I feel kind of overwhelmed when it comes to speculation right now -- I am incredibly intrigued but INCREDIBLY confused. :D This series is going to break my brain!

Seriously, my brain is going to explode soon! :D It's literally mind-boggling, all these clues and details to consider! I LOVE every second of it, but I wouldn't be too surprised if my brain just shuts down and goes on standby for a while if this goes on for much longer :D

So many things mentioned above have crossed my mind too while watching! I am soooooo curious as to what's really going on and how it all ties into Amy and the Doctor's storyline! I really wish I had more time to read theories and such right now because if there was ever anything to be discovered by rewatching an episode a few hundred times it's now

The duck pond thing is quite intriguing, especially since the town that doubled for Leadworth didn't have a duck pond, and they built it especially for the episode, which makes sense because it seems to be important. (I wonder if the crack got to the ducks somehow. Amy is absolutely certain that it's a duck pond because it's, well, right there, but she doesn't find it suspicious that there aren't any ducks, because to her that 's the way it has always been. Even though there's a sign that says "Don't feed the ducks ( ... )

Oooh I didn't know they built it for the episode. But I thought that there had to be something to it even before the jacket!11 thing, since he kept going on about it.

DON'T STOP EDITING!!! And YES, she does, she doesn't say that they're dead. Was thinking about that yesterday, too.

The Pandorica is a fairy tale, Amelia is a fairy tale-name, it makes sense that he needs that version of her. THIS IS WHY I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO JOIN THIS POST! :D but yes, exactly. Amelia Pond is a name from a fairy tale, and she changed it, she became Amy. But it's all about fairy tales, so they need the girl from a fairy tale.

OOOOOOH I think I heard about those Nintendo console pics a while ago but totally forgot about them! And yes, exactly. GAH it's all so awesome in makes my brain hurt in the best way possible! *bounces*

!!! i love u guys _irrlicht_ May 3 2010, 19:52:35 UTC
it absolutely is about the fairy tales, i was wondering that, too! especially after the exchange with river mentions them, too, "that's a fairy tale" "aren't we all?"
also, d'you guys remember when he tries to convince amy to join him and she's all "i've grown up" and he says "oh you should never do that" and something like "I'll fix that"? he definitely needs fairy-tale amelia! thats why amelia has been gone for 6 months, too, while amy is still there.

and the idea of two times pressed together is great, too! makes a lot of sense.

i think the duck pond goes deeper than the ducks disappearing into the crak though. too much perception filters and forgetting going on.. mhh.
