I'm trying to collect what I found so far, much of which came in discussions with _irrlicht_ yesterday and today. I seriously think I have NEVER been this excited about any upcoming story ( Read more... )

The duck pond thing is quite intriguing, especially since the town that doubled for Leadworth didn't have a duck pond, and they built it especially for the episode, which makes sense because it seems to be important. (I wonder if the crack got to the ducks somehow. Amy is absolutely certain that it's a duck pond because it's, well, right there, but she doesn't find it suspicious that there aren't any ducks, because to her that 's the way it has always been. Even though there's a sign that says "Don't feed the ducks.")

I PROMISE I'LL STOP EDITING NOW, BUT! Amelia says something along the lines of "I don't have a mum or dad", right? Not that they are dead. Crack?

Also: I think what Jacket!Doctor is trying to achieve is to get back Amelia, the girl who trusted him when she was little, and the girl who still trusts him now. I think that's what might happen after he makes those trips back in time. The Pandorica is a fairy tale, Amelia is a fairy tale-name, it makes sense that he needs that version of her.

OH! And about the time conundrum, what did the Doctor say about the crack? "Two parts of space and time that should never have touched, pressed together." I think that's what is happening in the village, and that's why there seems to be evidence of several different times, all at once. (I think there also were pictures of an ad for a fairly old Nintendo console in one of the Eleventh Hour set reports.)

Oooh I didn't know they built it for the episode. But I thought that there had to be something to it even before the jacket!11 thing, since he kept going on about it.

DON'T STOP EDITING!!! And YES, she does, she doesn't say that they're dead. Was thinking about that yesterday, too.

The Pandorica is a fairy tale, Amelia is a fairy tale-name, it makes sense that he needs that version of her. THIS IS WHY I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO JOIN THIS POST! :D but yes, exactly. Amelia Pond is a name from a fairy tale, and she changed it, she became Amy. But it's all about fairy tales, so they need the girl from a fairy tale.

OOOOOOH I think I heard about those Nintendo console pics a while ago but totally forgot about them! And yes, exactly. GAH it's all so awesome in makes my brain hurt in the best way possible! *bounces*

it absolutely is about the fairy tales, i was wondering that, too! especially after the exchange with river mentions them, too, "that's a fairy tale" "aren't we all?"
also, d'you guys remember when he tries to convince amy to join him and she's all "i've grown up" and he says "oh you should never do that" and something like "I'll fix that"? he definitely needs fairy-tale amelia! thats why amelia has been gone for 6 months, too, while amy is still there.

and the idea of two times pressed together is great, too! makes a lot of sense.

i think the duck pond goes deeper than the ducks disappearing into the crak though. too much perception filters and forgetting going on.. mhh.
