GUYS. Sorry if you couldn't care less about Doctor Who, but all my brain can do since yesterday morning is yell "OMG DOCTOR WHO OMG JACKET!11 OMG", so deal with it ^^
I'm trying to collect what I found so far, much of which came in discussions with
_irrlicht_ yesterday and today. I seriously think I have NEVER been this excited about any upcoming story arch on any show EVER. Steven Moffat, I'm pretty damn sure you're an even bigger genius than we thought.
What follows are very flaily and very scattered questions/clues that have been found since yesterday.
Collected theories/thoughts/questions etc:
- We know that Amy forgot certain things. But how much did she forget? How many things will happen over the course of the season that the Doctor doesn't know because he hasn't DONE THEM YET and Amy doesn't know because she forgot them?
- When Little Amy sits in the garden, waiting for him, there is a Tardis noise and then a shadow moves in her house. We thought this was a dream/the multiform in her house til now, but now I think it's safe to say that the Doctor came back, only it was him from another timeline(=Jacket!11). What happened then that she forgot?
- Jacket!11 tells Amy that remembering WHAT he said when she was 7 isn't the point, but that she REMEMBERS. It's not a specific thing he told her, but that he visited her at all, which she forgot and we didn't get to see (yet).
- Will Little Amy's Raggedy Doctor drawings/toys come back? Will the things that she forgot be in them, or clues to them at least? This season, the last episode especially, has been so heavy on the childhood stories/fairy tale references, it would make sense that the clues are hiding in them.
- What about her non-existing parents and her ever-absent aunt?
- What about the lack of ducks in the duck pond he keeps mentioning? What happened that made them disappear? And did it happen 6 months before the Multiform events of 11th hour? Because, as
_irrlicht_ pointed out, that's a pretty specific time for her to randomly mention. DID Amelia Pond really leave/change 6 months ago, along with the ducks, and now she's Amy?
- And when is all of this happening in real time anyway? They have (Myth brand) Smartphones and Laptops, so everybody assumed it's our present, but then there is
this article/link that
chasarumba showed me, which suggests it might NOT be our present. Which would explain why Amy doesn't remember the Daleks in the sky, since they HAVEN'T HAPPENED IN HER TIMELINE YET.
- And what about the Myth brand tech?
_irrlicht_ pointed out that it's spelled with a epsilon as y, so maybe there's a link to sth Greek-related, like the Pandorical?
- I'm just gonna copy
_irrlicht_'s comment for this one: apparently moffat said there's five clues to watch out for. everyone seems to agree on the pandorical, the atraxi eye and the shape of the crack.
- The Atraxi eye, or something that resembles it, has shown up on screens. Once when 11 tells River that Octavian is dead, once on the tardis screen (which also has a Crack on it) when Amy asks 11 why he wants her to come with him in 11th hour.
- I won't be pointing out where Cracks were, because if you haven't seen those you haven't watched any of the episodes :D But as
ladyalcamy reminded me, only two of them have actually been seen/closed by the Doctor. What about the ones that he never saw? Are they still growing?
- What about the fact that for the first time ever (at least in the new series? Did he ever manage in Old Who?), the Doctor SUPPOSEDLY managed to get to Amy's bedroom the exact time he meant to, 5 minutes after they left?
- I'm sure I'm forgetting 500 things. And I will add about 500 more things to the post as I/You find them.
