jeans, jeans, lots of jeans

Thank you anthrokeight! Armed with your excellent advice about jeans to look at in New York, I've come home with a pair of Levi's defined waist bootcut jeans from Macy's, and two pairs of dark blue straight leg jeans from Coldwater Creek, which I would certainly never have found otherwise. Of course, now I wish I'd bought more pairs...

jeans, shopping

Hooray for jeans that fit! Though I'm a bit surprised they were Levis - I went into a store that year when they were advertising jeans fittings, and they informed me that I was 'straight up and down', and should try men's sizing. Which puzzled me.

They only seemed to sell them in Macy's - we went into a couple of Levi's shops looking for things for Phil, and they didn't stock 'women's' sizes.

Hooray! I am glad you found things that worked for you. Jeans. So much a pain in the neck to shop for, it feels like a huge win to find things that work for you.

It was a huge win, and I'm very grateful. (I tried on the Macy's jeans you mentioned, which were OK but not great, but if I hadn't been looking at those I'd not have found the Levi's, which I only saw in Macy's. The Levi shops didn't seem to do the bigger sizes except for men.)

I am wearing the Coldwater Creek ones today and feeling very happy in them!
