I've enjoyed a lot of her clothes posts this year. I'm not sure that I'll ever manage a year of no new clothes (have already bought several in 2013), though.

Me neither, though I have not yet bought any in 2013! (There's a tunic coming from Seasalt that just squeezed into 2012.)

The other thing I've learnt is that, frankly, nobody but me much cares what I look like. A dazzling smile is the best accessory. It pulls any outfit together. And with that uncharacteristically pious thought, I will bid you adieu for the year. Next year I will be blogging an entire novel a week at a time. Hold onto your birettas.

Especially the part about the dazzling smile, which costs nothing yet gives pleasure to others.

I need new clothes like I need a hole in my head. And I need to puuuuuuurge my wardrobe. Is what this post is making me think.

Me too! (though, hrrm, that's partly because I acquired a new warm coat and two new warm jumpers just before Christmas.) But a purge is definitely in order; there are quite a few things that I used to love but which now don't make me happy to wear, but I hesitate to get rid of because you never know...
