However, she is the one misinformed. It also turns into her own personal grudgewank against the hospital.

I wanted to add any information which could debunk the reasons behind their policy (jewellery getting ripped out, etc) but clearly found no help from fellow community members.

The problem (yes speaking out my ass here) that I suspect is that a big enough chunk, if it gets pulled loose would potentially knock the machine out of calibration if it got loose inside.

I'm not sure how sensitive the machines are to disturbance though.

heh and there is an instrument that chemists use called an NMR which stands for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance which is the same thing, but they cut out the "nuclear" part when they started using it on humans.

I think (as an entirely unmodded person) that this post makes the mod community look fantastic. Pretty much every single person gave thier own personal smackdown to the OP.
