Over in bmezine, leer asks for people to band together with a formal complaint against a hospital in regards to misinformation about MRIs and piercings/tattoos.

However, she is the one misinformed. It also turns into her own personal grudgewank against the hospital.

rofl. They should have just let her keep her jewelry in if she wanted to so bad.

As long as the other people left the room and she signed a waiver.

The problem (yes speaking out my ass here) that I suspect is that a big enough chunk, if it gets pulled loose would potentially knock the machine out of calibration if it got loose inside.

I'm not sure how sensitive the machines are to disturbance though.

I'd just make her pay for it. :>

Canadian slacker getting free health care = no fucking way she's paying for an MRI machine. :x

oh that's just fucked up then. If I were getting free health care I wouldn't get pissy about taking my piercings out. Hell I'd strip naked on command for it.

If the machine breaks, it could be down for days while it is repaired or recalibrated. I'd hate to be the person with the traumatic head injury or metastatic cancer who couldn't get an MRI because some fucktard didn't want her nipples discriminated against.

Precisely. What a fucking selfish crybaby.

"I'd rather break the machine and fuck other people's health/care than take out a piercing!!!"

But..but.. she signed a waiver. Doesn't that mean it's not her fault? /sarcasm

I don't think that means what she thinks it means.

I think you're right. I'm pretty sure they're almost like bullets. (They behave almost like bullets, I should say.)
