1) It appears that we have a named storm in the Caribbean with a track that takes it up the Gulf side of Florida... which means that over the course of the next week or two, it's really a Russian roulette for all of us Gulf Coast states. what a blow to David after all that time he spent putting it together.

Some of the fans who chatted on David's site a LOT have moved over to a temporary home at yahoo groups.

David's site came back up and he sent a few messages that he has someone working on it. I don't know how robust it might be, so yahoo groups is always a good backup.

Thanks, I'd seen the link over on the GW thunk thread, just hadn't signed up for it. Though I don't know if I qualify as a squirrel since I didn't really hang out in the forums.

I think anybody who was on dgeek qualifies as a squirrel if you want to. I've only been there a few times and they welcomed me very nicely at the Shore Leave convention.

That just sucked yesterday when David's site got hacked! :( It's sort of back up now, except the forum isn't working right.

:D No problem, I knew what you meant. Yeah, I poked around it a little just now and looks like the forum is kind of iffy - there's a post from today but I can't access it.
