An adventurous day, now with 100% more adventure
When I woke up this morning, there was barely a cloud in the sky. The volcano cruise tour was ON! Christa registered for me and paid for me in advance early this morning, so all I needed to do when I came out of my room this morning was to pay her and then walk up to the bus station. Easy-peasy!

1. It's just rained here for the 3rd day in a row. This is extremely unusual weather, from what everyone has told me. There have been spates of partly cloudy weather during the day, but the massive thunderstorms at night have more than made up for them. A vast echoing cavern, now with 1000 words.
Well, this is it! I'm in Santorini! By all rights, I should be sound asleep (it's 1:45 AM here), but I am not, for reasons I shall explain below. Conveniently, the hard cable for the internet connection stretches all the way across the room, so I am able to blog from the comfort of my own bed. Yay! I am surprised to find you freaking out about packing for vacation. Hello, Mirabel...don't you pack for travel at least once a month? The only difference here is that if you forget something, you'll be buying its replacement in a foreign country. Fortunately, they have stores there too, so STOP PANICKING ALREADY.

It's going to be sunny and comfortably warm! A fabulous antidote to the drizzly rain and damp cold that are outside my window at this very moment.
