Taiko was FANTABULOUS!  Likewise hanging with soteltie  & Aquel!  :-D  I've tentatively penciled in their Revision matinee show on the 31st (I'll be out of town on the 30th).  If you're interested in a redo, please let me know!

I don't feel at all bad for kicking my stylist to the curb.  I went in today and said, "please cut the top ( Read more... )

Did you talk to the moving out people to see if the noise was part of their leaving? Would be handy when talking to the neighbors...

No, this noise has nothing to do with the moving neighbor. It's not noise, actually, but really strong vibrations against the wall I share with Mr. 122 that I believe are probably being caused by him gaming. The vibrations are too regular in speed/frequency to be the same TV program for hours and hours on end.

I'd never met the moving neighbor two doors down--he looked like a college student.

Was he on the otherside of the noise people? Thats what I was asking about... if he was also annoyed, you could point that out to mgnt...

You might want to write them a letter, if you arn't good at face-to-face. Put it something like:

Hey neighbor, I'm sorry to do this via letter, but we don't seem to cross paths except when I am trying to sleep... which is why I'm writing... Your sub-woofer is keeping me awake. Is there a way you could turn down the bass or otherwise reduce the impact of your activity on my sleep? Thanks!

Unfortunately, I think I've missed my chance with Mr. 123--he's totally out of there now.

I've been "planning" to write a note for about 6 months now. I have a lot of baggage from the OE in relation to this exact issue. Haven't worked it out yet. *rolls eyes at dumbassself*

If you need a horsey break, do come up and visit us at the equestrian field. I don't remember if it was you or Hugh I promised to introduce to Anna, but you're welcome in any case.

I think it was Hugh, although I'd like one too! I will come up to the equestrian field for sure, though probably not 'til Sunday--I'm playing chief slave/assistant/Girl Friday to our Head Chef for feast (Marieke) on Saturday. :-)

It was indeed me. But I will be at War of the Roses, assisting Jaji with the Mongolian Barbeque and watching fencing.

If TRH Konrad and Brenwen are there, I'll probably be volunteering to retain for them in the Fall.

So do you feel better about Spike now?

Phooey on the hairdresser - to the curb she goes!

Yes, I am not of your exalted status, but I have a whopping one dress that I'm willing to wear at events at this point, plus one more I'm willing to wear in the dark. Panteria is three days long; hopefully it won't be sticky, or I'm going to get stinky FAST. :/

Jury's still out on Spike.

It would be really grubby for me to spend Saturday cooking in one set of garb *and* then wear it again for the rest of the weekend, too. :-) Unfortunately, the other garb that's half-sewn is wool, and knowing my luck, it'll be 90 degrees at night the way that it can be some years!

And what's with the "exalted status" thing?

Uh - you're a Laurel? I know I upped my wardrobe standards the first time I told someone I ran the A&S 50 Challenge, and someone looked down at my garb with a raised eyebrow, like "Really?". I figured that if they do it to me, they'd do it to folks who are OL all the time, but maybe you've not experienced it, since you always look pretty sharp anyway ( ... )

"uh, you're a laurel"

Yup! Which is why I'm in such desperate need of getting this under control. :-D Mainly, it's that all of my fabulous garb has basically self-destructed due to old age. And I don't like sewing, so it's hard to get motivated to fix the situation. :-)

I brought a bunch of fabric & my scissors to OH with me. The agenda for the day is going to be plain tunics of varying length/sleeve widths (Anglo-Saxon style), since I don't have enough yardage of any of them for another apron dress. I do have a 2nd partially sewn apron dress that I'm finishing, so that should give me enough garb for the weekend.

I'm saving all of my serious sewing mojo for da cotehardies. :-D

I'm just daytripping so I probably only need one outfit. Too bad none of them work well for nursing! I guess I should figure out how to sew with a baby fast!

Eep! Yes, you have more garb troubles than I. :-) Well, I will look forward to meeting Mlle., whatever you decide to wear!

I can help you adapt/build new nursing garb - let's look at what you have already next time I'm down. :)

Probably mundanes under a tunic as that will require no sewing! *grins* Luckily Albreda has already provided for Mlle.

And I'm happy to lend you things for her as she goes along, too. Things I got from Mistress Eleanor I'll check with her, but I think can be just passed along directly, but I'd like things I made for the girls back again, in case we go for #4. :)
