I've just upgraded my parking.  I'll no longer be parking around the corner in the parking garage (which due to the length of my building and the other building in the way is actually about a 8-10 minute walk away when I'm carrying stuff).  Instead, I'll be in the front surface lot.  I may switch back in the wintertime, since it was really nice not ( Read more... )

Dear self: you need a new undertunic. DESPERATELY. Whatever else you do today, sewing needs to be on the list, or you will have no option but to wear wool to tomorrow's event. Since the current forecast is for high 80s and humid, that would be rather dumb.

1.  I'm getting ready for it to be a ghost town around here shortly with nearly everyone I know either going to or already at Pennsic.  Just so it's out there:  it's likely that I won't be going to Pennsic again for at least the next few years.  I only have 2 weeks' vacation time, and if I have to choose between Pennsic and an overseas trip, ( Read more... )

Though I'd expected that my four-day weekend would seem extremely busy (and too short) due to all of the things I had planned, it turned out to be very relaxing.
