So, I am a terrible procrastinator. I've had plans to post that I am having a birthday get together at the Grand Ave. Alehouse tonight for several days, and of course I don't post until the morning of.

So, come one, come all to the Grand Ave. Alehouse tonight (Saturday) at 8 pm to help me celebrate the fact that I turned 29.

OK, so CT and I have signed the paperwork for a new apartment. Problem is, the person who said they would bring us a bunch of boxes, never did.

Does anyone have decent boxes we could have?

So, I finally got off my lazy ass today and went to the student financial aid office to look into applying for financial aid. I asked the woman behind the desk if it was worth my time to apply for this school year and was met with a rather exuberant yes. I also found out that if I quallify for aid Spring quater, I'll likely recieve money for Fall ( Read more... )

So, over the winter break between quarters I had a lot of thoughts about where I'm going to go with my education. It seems to me I could be shooting higher than my original plans which were getting my prerequisites taken care of then applying for the Registered Nurse program at WCC. So college is going great for me, and to my delight and surprise I earned a 4.0 last quarter. Sure it's just community college (and they'll let anyone in here) but it's the 1st time I've ever had a 4.0 in my life and I'm pretty impressed with myself for getting A's in both my classes.
