TV Addict Update - The New Season

I thought it was time to weigh in on the new television season now that most of the shows have returned. I am a TV addict and proud of it but have yet to find anything in the new season worth adding to my list! What new shows have grabbed your interest?

So let’s get started: Each Show has it's own cut in case of Spoilers.

I haven't actually watched a single new show this season as opposed to last year when I watched a bunch.

I know nothing has really grabbed me. Damn writer strike really screwed the new season. Then again that's a good thing - no new fandoms ;P

Bones - I adore Zach. I threw something at the TV last season when they revealed he was the "killer". I was so scared he was gone for good. The floppy hair made me happy. Wendell the intern made me happy. My only question is how did he switch the magnetic strips on the access cards with only 60% function in his hands. Did he use his teeth? That's some talent. Makes you question everyones assumption that he's never "done it". Sweets irks me sometimes, but he's begining to grow on me

Thanks! We lost the cable signal on Fox right in the middle of Bones but this community http://community.livejournal.com/dramatic_eps/profile has all the new shows so I plan to download it tonight. You should join if there are things you need to catch up on (NCIS is there)- the members are really good about uploading everything.

I enjoyed the Harris books and the show just make sit all seem so silly. You're right to avoid.

Smallville has such potential now that they've moved it to Metropolis but I have to laugh at how easily Chloe travels from her Smallville apartment to the city - I thought it took a couple of hours. Guess Smallville moved ;p

You should totally give The Mentalist a chance!

I too thought it looked like a serious version of Psych, but it is more like a dark take on the consequences of being a fake psychic. It is a serious crime show with a main character who’s questionable past cost him a very high price.

Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) does not believe in psychic ability or a life after death. He is a quick witted man with a sense of humor that will have you laughing even when there is gore and death on the screen.

There is a deeper side to Patrick that I so far think he masks with his dry sense of humor. His reaction to the events in the Pilot is proof to me that life and death have a different meaning or importance to him than to others.

Also there is a great "something" between Patrick and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) and the rest of the team. So far it seems she resents his ability to solve a crime before the evidence is even bagged and tagged.

Give it a chance if only for Simon Baker and Robin Tunney (who I have loved since The Craft)!

Thanks for the summary. It does sound more interesting than the commercials indicated. Now that I have some space on Tuesdays (Eureka is over) I will definitely give it a look and I know where I can get the first to episodes to download.

I agree Simon Baker is always worth watching!

I'm so so so behind.

I gave up on Heroes last season. I don't miss it.

I've not seen the eps of T:SCC yet, and I want to. But tivo missed one, so I'm all out of whack there.

Tivo also missed last week's SPN, so I MUST find it and watch it ASAP, so I can catch up. *whimpers*

I saw a single ep of Sons of Anarchy and gagged, so... no.

I saw some Fringe, and will likely pass.

Nothing new. Just the old things.

Oh, and I got sucked back into Private Practice against my will. XD I can't help it. I adore Addison (the character) with all my heart.

House is on my tivo waiting to be watched. Behind on that.

SVU is off to a slow, but solid start.

Primeval has got me in a choke hold of, "How is that guy so damn sexy when he's not hot?" and "Whoa... are they intentionally being that homoerotic?" and "ACK! WHAT NEXT YOU BASTARDS?! HURRY BACK!"

Project Runway is drawing to a tense close, but Biggest Loser is back to keep my reality tv levels at just the right level. *wry*

Forgot about Primeval - I think it's a hoot. And who is your sexy guy because I adore Connor and the professor but Steven..guh Steven. He's Like Dean and Sam in one - Super smart but can handle weapons and kick your ass.

I heard the T:SCC might not be long for this world. I've missed a few but hope to get them downloaded and watch to the bitter end.

I don't really think he's hot, but there is an ep where he bends over the hood of a car to look at a map and the back of his shirt rides up just a little bit... and I was gone. GONE, I say.

Plus, he talks real nice. ;)

Steven is far hotter, I agree. But Nick is the one that makes me just... I can't explain it. IT MAKES NO SENSE.

Yes! Based on voice alone I adore Nick - I have an unnatural weakness for Scottish and northern British accents (Gerard Butler owns me). So you are not alone - I think the prof is hot too.

Conner is the guy I would actually date. I love me some cute, long-haired geek.

.... i still need to watch the last two eps of Burn Notice... one's on my flash drive, the other between 4x01 and 4x02 on my Supernatural tape.

huh, i still have to watch that Smallville episode from last season with Dean Cain in it......

I miss Burn Notice already. I wish it wasn't just a summer series.

i think Smallville has more potential this year than it has for a long time and GA being a regular - well I have to watch. Plus I just know Dean's gonna show at some point to break up Chloe and Jimmy's wedding
