Tropic Thunder - Movie Review

I mentioned that hubby scored some free tickets to the preview of Tropic Thunder which opens on August 15th.

We thought it was hilarious!!! Four thumbs up!
To put this in perspective - we think that Dogdeball is one of the funniest movies ever but we are not fans of most of Ben Stiller's other movies.

Well if silly comedies are your thing - I guess that's why I keep mentioning Dodgeball because it had a similar over the top feel to it. Definitely worth a rental when it gets out on DVD

I was disappointed that RDJ isn't his usual pretty self.

Preordered Ironman at Amazon - No release date but i can't wait to own it!!

I just keep thinking the movie can't be as funny as some of the promo stuff they've done for it (did you see the bit from the MTV movie awards?) and I'll be horribly disappointed. That said, I think I'm still going to see it.

Like I said we enjoyed it and if parodies are your thing... then you might as well. I did see the movie awards but that wasn't that funny IMO neither was the AI bit. I hope you enjoy it - I'll be curious for your opinion.

I'm not sure if I would feel the same way,t he trailer did not impress me in any way. And I jsut barely tolerate Jack Black on most days.

Sounds like it's just not you kind of movie - i'd avoid it if jack black drives you nuts
