Going to the CLSC (free clinic) to get some blood work done and to be given a vaccine and then learning you need to call the Youth service to make an appointment is not what I had in mind when I woke up early on my day off. Not only that, but I had to make an appointment with my doc (I hate him) for the vaccination because the CLSC doesn't do those ( Read more... )

I haven't read any of these! I have read some Gaiman and after liking Neverwhere and Stardust I got less and less impressed. I read American Gods (Anansi is a sequel of sorts I think) but your review doesn't make me think I need to read Anansi.

I found it a bit insane in the best way possible, but there's something about Gaiman's style that just doesn't click with me.

I like Kenyon but to each their own.

I really liked Veil of Midnight. I just finished Shades of Midnight which was pretty darn good.

Yeah the Riley Jensen series gets way better later in my opinion. I've got the 8th and last book and the last few have been awesome for me.

I'll check out Shades of Midnight when I can :) I don't feel strongly about the series either way but the concept is interesting, I'll give the author that.

I'll also check out the Riley Jensen stuff :)

I kind of got away from them when I got swept up in the slightly more smutty Breed series by Lora Leigh. They aren't fantastic reads but they are hot. Although they did get better. In the beginning if felt like she was writing just to write smut but then it developed.

I really hope you like the later ones because I feel like the more she got involved with Quinn the less the overwhelming sex addict thing came into play.
