Unless u count fanfiction, which isn't stealing because their steeling from the other person who made it orgi ... origin ... first!

Actually that logic isn't all that far off. It's the first thing you learn in any literature text -- all literature has, by some means, a predecessor. No one can really come up with an original because we take stories and examples from what we hear and see in life. This however isn't called plagiarism because it's not verbatim.

Everyone takes ideas here and there; an author can't work without them. But words cannot express how much effort has been put into one of the stories we wrote that she stole (and which we wouldn't mind publishing after changing the names), and I assure you, it is not the same thing. At all.

Just to let you know whats happening in regards to this case, (no it has not been forgot about but as you may be able to tell, my other case got busy!)

Have sent a pm to barra_arisa and have reviewed most of the fics you have mentioned. As yet have ot recieved a response from her, did you get any response from her?

Also whilst not necissary as I can do them myself , but did you happen to get any caps that your willing to share?

No, we never received a reply from her, but we know she's been on and off her AIM name, so she either hasn't logged on to lj (unlikely, given how often she seemed to be updating), or she's ignoring us.

And yes, the girl who alerted us to the problem took screencaps of everything for us; I'll forward her email to you. :)

With all the flurry of activity on the case that was, then wasn't, I'm wondering if anyone's actually working on Muse and my case. I'm not impatient, especially since I am not sure as to what your methods are, or how you go about doing them; just curious.

yes in the regards of I am still working on the case and no in the regards of actively doing caps and stuff at this moment in time..

I have pm'ed barra_arisa but as yet, (maybe unsurprisingly) I have yet to have a response.

I have the caps that have been sent over and have also bookmarked most of the fic I was able to find. Having read them yes totally can see they are adapted but basically the same as the originals.

It is literally just a case of making my own caps, getting them uploaded and writing the round up. I am hoping to get that done this weekend now that hopefully my other case has got a bit less crazy.

My apologies, I should have let you know what was going on.

Okay just to let you know where I am up to, (its something I am trying out to see if OPS find it helpful and not a mod policy)

Real life over the weekend got in the way and frankly will do this week. Nightmare and bad planning on my part. I am going to be, for all intensive purposes off line till wed night possibly thur plus the lj downtime means I can not do it tomorrow afternoon. . So I am now hoping to have this case sorted out by no later than Friday but definitely by Sunday.
