Just as a brief FYI. Adult Fanfiction is a site that is quite prompt with addressing reports of plagiarism and has their own list that they keep, which can be found here. They recently had a person trying to pass off professional published writing as her own, which made me think it might be good to highlight their work ( Read more... )

Case submitted Nov 24th 2008 here by love_of_anime. I have attempted to contact both users in this case and have given them more then enough time to respond, which neither has.

I discovered today that something I wrote was stolen. lone_she_wolf (who is HauntedbyBob on the SciFi forums, TheGoblinKing on Fanfiction.net and Mandy on MySpace) took something that I never imagined anyone would appropriate, much less claim was theirs.

Last night, I came across some fanfiction that was very blatantly plagiarized.  barra_arisa has been stealing ficfictions from the Tokio Hotel fandom and posting them in dry_ice , an X Men community, with changed names.  I've contacted the authors and let them know, and they got her banned from dry_ice .  While I was screencapping the entries, I found three other ( Read more... )
