Decision in the Copperized case

On 22 March, henpecked reported that copperized had plagiarised a story by acidpop25 called Leading with My Heart, as Slow Dance in a Burning Room in another fandom. The original report can be found here

Okay, where is the fic-stealing sister/best friend/former beta/cat from outer space? I am stunned. She just...admits what she did and says she was wrong? What kind of plagiarist is she???

All kidding aside, while her apology is a bit disingenuous considering the magnitude of her offense, I am rather less contemptuous of her than of the vast majority of plagiarists we see.

THIRTY-ONE STORIES!!!!! This was a busy little bugger. While her apology is nice, no one that devoted to theft is likely to give it up. I suspect we will hear of her again under yet another name.

I suspect you are right. That level of theft seems more compulsive and indicative of deep issues. I find it hard to believe that she is capable of stopping just because she may feel truly bad about it unless she gets some professional help to deal with other issues.
