Decision in the Copperized case

On 22 March, henpecked reported that copperized had plagiarised a story by acidpop25 called Leading with My Heart, as Slow Dance in a Burning Room in another fandom. The original report can be found here

Copperized is also on Dreamwidth and has a Fanfic.net account under the name Xushi. This was originally the name of the Copperized livejournal, vide the link in this entry

Huh. Well that's a refreshing change from the norm. 31 stories is kind of ridiculous, (well, actually, even one is ridiculous, but that's sort of stating the obvious opinion around here =P) but she gets points for being mature about it.

Wow, that's a lot of stories this person has stole. Wow. And the person still hasn't removed them it seems. I thought FF.net had a policy against this?

The plagiarised stories are gone. Links are to the original stories by the original authors. Sadly, Fanfic.net is not very proactive in dealing with plagiarism, even when it's brought to the site's attention. This case for example

That's the one thing that really turns me off about FF.net. They happen to be a very popular and high in readers traffic but they aren't on their toes about matters like these which are against the sites rules.
