Mordin had been working pretty much nonstop for the past couple weeks trying to get the clinic in order to his liking. The fact that his preferences were so specific tended to complicate things, but for the most part it had been a pretty flawless conversion. Now if only he had the funding for that sentry bot he wanted...

When Shepard arrived, Mordin happened to be in the middle of some calibrations checking some readings on his Omni-tool.

"Shepard." He nodded a brief greeting and looked up, and upon seeing his commander in such an urgent state, dropped whatever he was doing and quickly made his way over to her. He wasted no time looking over her wounds.

"Third degree burns. No fire damage, corrosive damage to fabric. Suggests contact with acidic substance. Prolonged contact. No time to waste, exam room, now."

Mordin quickly began ushering Shepard into the nearest empty exam room, trying to be as gentle as he could in the process.

Shepard winced as Mordin approached her, clenching her jaw as she glanced up to the ceiling momentarily. Okay, so maybe it was a lot worse than first expected. 'Dammit all..' cursed the commander inwardly. Shepard scratched at her forehead as he checked her over, glancing over to him and making eye contact.

"So it's really that bad, huh?" Shepard muttered as she quickly wandered into the exam room and over to the table where she sat at the end of it. A light sigh escaped Shepard, her hues watching the salarian. Blue orbs were set intent and awaiting what the other would need to do, she could only imagine. Afterall, Shepard did get into some intense battles back home which resulted in a lot of medical attention and bedrest.

"You're probably wondering how this happened..."

Once in the exam room, Mordin quickly set about gathering any supplies he might need. He pulled on a pair of three fingered surgical gloves and started filling a pan with sterile water.

"Would like to know, yes. Would help to know exact source of acidic substance. Easier to administer proper treatment."

When he was finished grabbing stuff, he made his way over to the exam table and set it down on on a tray next to Shepard.

"Must ensure contaminated clothing no longer has contact with epidermis. Shirt off and lay back." He paused for a second, realizing that this Shepard may not be as comfortable with being topless as much as the one he was used to, and as an after though added, "Will get hospital gown."

Shepard shifted on the table, hands in her lap fiddling ever so slightly as she watched him walk around and gather the necessary supplies. Her hues shifted down at the bowl of water for a few moments, pondering how she would explain this one.

"The planet Konami VI has a seemingly "haunted city" by the name of Silent Hill. While I was down there, I heard that disappearances were happening and wanted to scout the area for the missing civilians ... before any of that could even happen, Garrus informed me that a comrade of his was down on the planet too and was in trouble. So, I met up with both of them and took out the hostiles. I wasn't expecting much enemy-wise, but to our disadvantage there were many different hostile creatures who came in contact with us. One of them spewed an acidic substance from its chest cavity, which caused this wound on me. It melted through my armor immediately upon impact and took down my shields like it was nothing. There were other creatures too... it's just- it's so bizarre. Nothing like we've ever dealt ( ... )
