Shepard shifted on the table, hands in her lap fiddling ever so slightly as she watched him walk around and gather the necessary supplies. Her hues shifted down at the bowl of water for a few moments, pondering how she would explain this one.

"The planet Konami VI has a seemingly "haunted city" by the name of Silent Hill. While I was down there, I heard that disappearances were happening and wanted to scout the area for the missing civilians ... before any of that could even happen, Garrus informed me that a comrade of his was down on the planet too and was in trouble. So, I met up with both of them and took out the hostiles. I wasn't expecting much enemy-wise, but to our disadvantage there were many different hostile creatures who came in contact with us. One of them spewed an acidic substance from its chest cavity, which caused this wound on me. It melted through my armor immediately upon impact and took down my shields like it was nothing. There were other creatures too... it's just- it's so bizarre. Nothing like we've ever dealt with before, and on top of that everything goes pitch black and it's almost impossible to wander around before coming in contact with more hostiles. They're attracted to light, I think."

Shepard ran a hand through her disheveled hair, exhaling slowly.

"The acid reminds me of a Thresher Maw's... but the thing is, these acid spewing creatures are the size of a human, maybe slightly bigger. They're easier to take down, but, almost impossible to avoid that acid once it's spraying it."

Shepard paused once he mentioned taking her shirt off, but then nodded with a faint grin when he mentioned the gown. "Thanks, that would be a good idea."

Glancing down at herself, she glanced back to Mordin quickly. "Actually, I need to remove everything or just have the upper layer of this mesh suit cut off of me because it's a full bodysuit." She pointed to the armor that was still on her lower half that covered the rest of her bodysuit underneath. She really hated how troublesome her suit was.

Were this any other time, Mordin may have found this information on the planet's lifeforms fascinating. Well, he did really, but he was too focused on the task at hand to comment on it. He scowled a bit once Shepard's explanation was over, and returned to her side after fetching a medical gown from a cabinet in the corner.

"Acid byproduct of local wildlife, may complicate things." He activated his omni-tool, pausing just long enough to scan Shepard's injured area. Upon getting a reading, he didn't seem too terribly concerned.

"Readings indicate simple hydrochloric acid compound, though far more potent that that found in human stomach. Interesting. Ah, can simply cut off upper layer of suit, faster and safer than complete removal."

He took a pair of surgical scissors from the tray and began to do just that.

"... It doesn't exactly look like wildlife though." Shepard interjected, but then dropped the subject of what the creatures may be. At least, it didn't look like any type of animal to her... although, it was quite dark and they didn't have much light. The female pondered over that thought for a little while, but was brought back to real-time when Mordin spoke once more.

"So it's not deadly or all that serious?" Shepard questioned, a slight confused expression forming on her facial features. Holding the gown, she allowed the other to cut the upper part of her suit off and by the time he was done, she already was pulling on the gown and then removing her torn upper part of the suit. Aw yeah, free peep show. Glancing behind herself for a moment, Shepard eased herself down on her back, adjusting herself on the exam table for a brief moment.

"Not deadly, though will most likely leave bad scarring." Mordin said, pushing the gown up just enough so he could clearly see all the damage. He took a pan of water and a sterile gauze from the tray.

"Must clean and sterilize area. Will hurt, pretty badly. Will apply medi-gel to area once finished to ease pain."

"On wonderful. Just what I needed- more scarring." Shepard idly shrugs her shoulders after the sarcastic reply, the scarring bit not really phasing her. Oh well, it could have been a lot worse. Shepard glanced at the gauze, her frame tensing for a moment when he mentioned it would hurt pretty badly.

"Ah, you're not too comforting when you say it like that, Mordin." Shepard braced herself, having an idea of how bad it may hurt. Hell, she almost did attack Garrus earlier when he treated her first. She was going to try having a better grip on herself this time around. Watch out for your eyes, Mordin.

"Apologies. Have been told bedside manner could use work. Beginning now."

It wasn't much of a warning, admittedly. He quickly set to work, cleaning the area and any surrounding skin. He repeated the process a couple of times, but still managed to be pretty fast about it. As soon as he was finished, he treated the area with medi-gel. With Shepard around, he'd have to look into making more of this stuff. He only had so much laying around, after all.

"Finished. Will allow medi-gel to take effect before dressing."

"It's all right, Mordin, no hard fe-- AAUUUUUGH!"

Yelped Shepard from the contact, immediately wincing. Okay yeah, that stung a lot. Her jaw clenched, eyes narrowing as she tried to get a grip on herself. She attempted to remind herself that it would be over soon and that it would be a very bad idea to flip over the nearest table. Shepard didn't even realize she was holding her breath until she opened her mouth to say something. Inhaling shallowly, she tried to relax her muscles, but it wasn't working all too well for her.

"Damn. That really fucking stung." Shepard finally hissed out under her breath as she stared up at the ceiling. Thank goodness the worst was over, right?

Mordin had dealt with so many noisy patients over the years that he was hardly phased by Shepard's yelping. She was a tough chick, after all. She could take it. And maybe she'd learn to be more careful in the future.

Yeah, sure.

The salarian started preparing some tape and gauze on the tray, glancing back over at Shepard. "Anybody else injured?"

Shepard arched a brow, but then shook her head. "No. Noone else was injured to my knowledge."

"Good to hear. Have had influx in patients lately, mostly injuries received planetside. Interesting planet, would like to take samples."

Mordin paused, inhaling sharply as he began dressing Shepard's wounds. "Lacking in free time, unfortunately. May not get the chance."

Shepard was quiet for a few moments while Mordin dressed her wounds, "Actually, I want to go back down to the planet as soon as possible. There's a lot of weird stuff that happens down there... and a lot of disappearances." Shepard paused again, eyes closing, "I want to try finding those missing people."

"Wouldn't recommend returning to combat situations in current condition. Need to run blood tests, make sure toxins haven't been introduced into blood stream."

Mordin finished dressing the wounds, and started packing things up on the tray. He looked up for a moment, giving Shepard an exasperated look. "Not likely to listen though, are you."

After the wound was patched up on her, Shepard attempted to sit up on the table, wincing slightly as she did so. She crossed her arms over her chest, "I understand what you need to do but... I can't just lay around. There could be helpless people trapped. We might be their only chance of escaping."

His next comment made Shepard smirk and chuckle lightly under her breath momentarily, "You know me well, but what I say is true... how long do I need to be careful for?"

"Should always exercise caution, Commander." Mordin said, an almost nagging tone in his voice. Still, he knew arguing with Shepard wouldn't get him anywhere.

"Given Thor's medical and technological advances, recommend avoiding strenuous activity for one week."

Shepard grumbled something inaudible under her breath, looking away for a moment.

But then she was glancing back to him, "One week? That's too long! What am I even suppose to do for the whole week?" Now she's scowling.

"Mordin, I'll be all right!"

"Still insist upon returning to planet, then I'll accompany you. Have no intention of leaving potential survivors behind."
