Polly had been on her way home from work, when she noticed the dark figure ahead. There was something strangely familiar about it, but she couldn't quite place what--she really didn't have time to, at the speed with which it approached.
Eyes wide with a mix of fear and fascination, she barely even thought to try to get out of the way until it was almost too late...
He just skimmed passed the terrified woman, coming to a halt a short distance away. Faintly, there was another flicker of recognition, but he was unsure. A friend... or a foe? She definitely seemed much more dream-like to her.
His dark claws curled and shook before snapping open again. He was still on the offensive, but actually contemplating what to do with this one before him...
Polly stood frozen for a long moment, staring into the glowing red eye.
"H-hello...?" she ventured...
She squinted at him, shifting slightly as if she wanted to take a step toward him, but wasn't sure it would be the best idea. She was almost certain there was something familiar, here, but the fact that she didn't recognize him troubled her...
He stepped back, crouching lower, clawed hand scraping against the ground. This woman had spoken, but he didn't understand what she said. He didn't understand what anything was saying actually. It was infuriating. If he couldn't understand them, was it even possible they would understand him.
They knew where she was; they had to know...! In his other hand, he raised his sword, ready to pounce. Who did he have to attack? Who did he have to kill to see her again??
Goosebumps lined Gwnedolyn's arms as she looked down at Titrel. Though she didn't know what or the reason, she was suddenly overcome with a familiar feeling. She knew that feeling well and it made her uneasy. The last time she felt it, she was returning from the kingdom of Ringford after defeating their new queen. Not long after, she had found out that Oswald had been taken by the Halja. What was happening?
She rose from the couch of her living room, knowing she needed to move. She didn't know where, but something deep within her told her that she had to start walking. That way. Right now.
They kept coming at him; these creatures and... mechanical things. As bad as any sorcery or alchemy creations, but he easily tore them to pieces like everything else. They started attacking him... He wasn't sure if they were holding Gwendolyn from him still, but if they were, they better tell him now and in a language he actually understands. This battle was exhausting him, but he couldn't stop until he knew or until they ceased the onslaught.
His Belderiver split another robot in half and he leapt back, glancing around. Any more?
Gwendolyn had set out where she had heard a great ruckus, her heart beating loudly inside her chest. Suddenly it seized up. There he was. He was marvelous, cleaving through security droid with brutal artistry.
Oh, but he was suddenly moving further away. Where are you going, Oswald? I'm right here!
The droids ceased attacking. Actually, they were moving back as though startled. They didn't seem to be paying so much attention to him anymore. Still, he was bothered by their presence. He didn't give the droids any time to retreat or summon more, leaving them torn asunder in mere seconds.
Tch, he should change back soon, but there was something strange. Someone watching him? Briefly, he wondered if a new enemy had appeared, but this gaze... it brought a familiar warmth to him...
