[There is a white-haired ninja exploring the planet as well. He, too, was not much of a fan of amusement parks, but that was partially because his world had none, and fleeing for your life on the back of a giant snake was a bit more...real than simulating the experience by riding in a metal car.

Still, Kabuto had tried some of the rides, found them boring, and was now spending more time watching the pedestrians than participating in the intended entertainment. When he notices Shin, he ambles over, curious as to the clear outlier.]

You here from the Thor as well?

[ Shin glances up, straightening his posture. Oh. Someone talking to him. He hadn't really anticipated that, for some reason... nor did he really want it. Offering a nod, his expression remains fairly blank. ]

Correct.

You don't seem to be enjoying yourself much.

[Kabuto has his 'nice' smile on, clearly trying to be friendly, though how accurate the expression was to his true feelings was impossible to tell.]

[ back in the day, Shin would have been able to sense those feelings, but his empathy had mostly evaporated with his death, along with most of his trust for people. His tone and posture remain distant. ]

I came out of curiosity.

[Ever since Crow had introduced him to the planet, Seto has spent whatever free time he could get down here. Mostly with his bff, but sometimes he wandered off on his own. This time to do some grocery shopping via the vendors on this planet.

By the time he walks by Shin, his hands are full with funnel cake, cotton candy and all sorts of things. He was trying to find a place to sit and stash them in his bag. All the people around him made it difficult though. Now that the crowd dispersed a little, he looks around and finally spots Shin. Shin feeding weird birds. Seto's suddenly thankful most of his stuff is bagged. You're not getting this food birds!]

Shin? You're here too?

[ oh, look, it's Seto carrying a metric ton of junk food. Shin is only mildly surprised to see him - more at the fact that they managed to run into each other in such a broad space rather than the fact that he was on the planet. He was a kid, after all. He eyes him with his usual reserved semi-glare. ]

I am.

[ such an excellent conversationalist ]

[Now that he found Shin, he decides to stay by him for awhile. He looks like he could use the company. Seto walks slowly around the bird things. Even if they look friendly, he doesn't want to startle them. He's had more than his fair share of ghost bird attacks. When he makes it to the bench, he puts down the metric ton of junk food and his bag on it.]

Do you like feeding...birds?

[ what kind of question is that, Seto. Shin gives the stuff that's been set on the bench a cursory glance before looking back to him. ]

... I don't mind animals. [ said pretty flatly. Apparently, he's somewhat self-conscious about this. ] What are you doing here?

John Marston, depending on exactly where he was on this giant planet of amusement parks, either stuck out like a sore thumb or fit perfectly with the people wearing "authentic" period costumes milling about here and there. As it was, the cowboy currently fit in the former category, gazing about with interest as a gaggle of small alien children ran past him.

This planet probably wasn't his favorite, but damn it, it was different. He needed something different from the day-to-day life aboard the Thor, to break up what had become the monotony. He needed to visit the surface of a planet, of any planet, and indulge in the openness of it all; such feeling of expanse wasn't something easily found on the Thor, and he missed it. On his world he was far too used to it, took it for granted. Now that it had been ripped away from him (the cramped spaces in his own room reminded him of that daily), he learned to appreciate its sense of comfort it could create ( ... )

Shin could probably fit in at some of the old-school sci-fi locations in the world, what with his lab coat - but he hadn't done much exploring, honestly. Which possibly defeated the point, but he wasn't sure what he was doing here in the first place. Fresh air, maybe. Like a ghost needed that.

Despite everything that had happened thus far, he still wasn't expecting to look up and see a genuine American cowboy standing there. The surprise that passes through his expression is brief before he goes back to his normal distant demeanor, pushing his glasses back.

"I'm not interested in the attractions."

Shin's detached air made John raise a brow. He wasn't the type to encourage someone who didn't feel like riding the rides, indulging in the sights, or otherwise spending far too many credits if they didn't want to. It was really none of his concern, though he'd be lying if he said it wasn't real curious. In fact, it begged the question of:

"So then what you doin' down here? It ain't nothin' but attractions, though some of 'em are pretty questionable at best."

There's a brief pause before Shin shakes his head slightly, glancing away. It was a pretty good question. He didn't really know, either. Other than that he hadn't actually been outside in a place with people in a very long time.

"... Part of a promise." Kind of. "And I've been stuck inside for some time."

[That's funny, because there's a carpet walking by with a stick of cotton candy in one tassel and a prize teddy bear under the other.]

[...he doesn't seem to be able to eat the cotton candy, so its presence is a mystery.]

[He sees someone sitting on a bench and waves with the tassel holding the bear, keeping it small so he doesn't lose his grip.]

[...this isn't weird at all]

[ ... not at all. Shin doesn't sit up, but he sure does stare from his hunched-over position on the bench, not returning to gesture.

Was that a carpet? It looked like a carpet. ]

[damn skippy it's a carpet]

[who toddles over to get a closer look at those bat-pigeons he's feeding]

[when he's bending down to look at them, he drops his teddy 8(]

[ WHAT MADNESS IS THIS

He watches it... walk over? and look? at the pigeons, staring blankly. That wasn't normal. Was it possessed? There were a fair share of spirits back where he was from, but... he hadn't seen one like this before.

Oh no, it dropped the bear. He manages to resist his natural tendency to be helpful to those in need for a little bit just because he's so confused by this... haunted rug thing, but after a few seconds, he reaches his hand down by the stuffed animal before lifting it up without even touching it and offering it to the carpet. ]
