[S.S. THOR CULTURAL FESTIVAL!]

Oct 23, 2010 00:40

Who: Everyone!
What: Cultural festival!
Where: The school
When: Right now to whenever!
How: Brackets or prose, it's up to you guys!

Picture, if you will, a Japanese cultural festival. Now, continuing in that train of thought, forget the 'Japanese' bit but retain the rest.

There's a large courtyard on the ground floor of the school that most of the S.S. Thor's refugees attend. Artificial daylight shines down on the festivities taking place there. Upon entering, you will see a large stage set up to the left. This will serve multiple purposes throughout the day. Auctions, performances, contests, and so forth will happen on this stage, and the large open area in front of it guarantees plenty of space for an equally large audience. On the other side of the yard from the stage, students from various worlds have set up booths where they prepare and sell everything from food to traditional trinkets from their homeworlds.

Once you have had your fill of musical performances and tasty foreign dishes, you may proceed to enter the school building proper. Inside is a reception table, where guests may go over a list of activities within the building and get directions to various classrooms where said activities are taking place. Rumor has it that the ladies running the maid café in classroom 2-1 are especially fetching, if that runs to your tastes.

Please take your time, see the sights, and share and enjoy all the culture you desire during the S.S. Thor's school cultural festival.

[How this works: Folks running the booths/auctions/cafés/etc put up a thread with whatever booth/auction/café you're running in the subject line. People showing up to enjoy the sights and experience some culture can then either tag those threads, or begin new ones in the same vein - again, noting their location in the subject line, so that people who might be in that same vicinity can then tag in, should they so desire. If any questions pop up, hit me up on AIM (gundamkiwi) or PM this journal account if I'm not online. I'll try to be around as much as possible this weekend, just in case!

Plot posts can be viewed and trolled for ideas here, here, and here.

Tag this post with your character's name when you start or respond to a thread.

Cheers!]
