An IC convo with
zeroslate yielded an absolutely amazing idea.
Well, I think it's amazing, anyway. >.>
So basically, every slice-of-life/high school/shoujo manga ever has a school cultural festival - y'know, where all the students pool their collective intellects and create amazing booths and displays and whatnot for the edification of the general populace and competition with rival classrooms for the glory of...uh...beating the rival classroom? Those cultural festivals? Anyone? 8)?
Anyway, I thought it would be pretty fun to do that on the Thor! Participating characters could plan amazing plans on the network and in logs, and build up to the actual day, which would take place - much like the Luau - in a free-for-all log post sometime in the near future.
Right now I'm just kind of throwing this out there to see if there's any interest in such an event. This definitely wouldn't just be limited to students and teachers - friends of students and even friends of friends would be more than welcome, so, basically, it's a potential event for everyone.
Thoughts?
Edit:
And the list of hideous cultural festival ideas begins:
-God General Booth of Awesome
*Dunk tank with Dist on the dunk seat
-Giant pizza
-THOR-WIDE COMPETITION? With an announcer, keeping track of who's kicking whose ass?
-Brawls in the hallways over whose model volcano is better than the others
-Maid Cafe. Preferably where some or all of the maids are cross-dressing men.
-Courage event!
*Haunted house! Because no cultural festival is complete without one!
-Espionage!
-WHERE'S THE HOST CLUB AT?
-ALSO, GLEE CLUB?
-Crossdressing competition
-Kissing booths
-Auction
-Cabaret // Dances! concerts! plays! art exhibits! treasure hunts!
-Petting zoo
-Photographers! because obviously this needs to be documented somehow
-Food booths? where people can cook food from their individual planets or something.
-some kind of mystery event? although that could tie in with the haunted house---SPEAKING OF WHICH, WE COULD ASK ISH FOR THE USE OF HILL HOUSE FOR THE COURAGE EVENT.
-Matching t-shirts
-Games and video game competitions
