T, it is just OVERWHELMING to me how kind people have been. He cleared off his desk in his room and has everything laid out. I might have to take him shopping for a special pen to catalog everything just so. HEE.
I am so, so happy that this came off so well, that your son got to be uber-cool. I remember those painfully awkward days, and something like this can give you that boost you need to keep on going. *hugs*
Isn't that the truth? And I have to say, I was afraid he might have been teased, or something, but you could tell each of them thought it was pretty cool. I bet their parents just get them gift cards or video games. Not that those don't have their place, but I think they were a little jealous of the hugs and kisses and attention. I think deeeeeeep down. ;)
I think you're right. We're a pretty chill family, so I think them seeing us joking around and stuff AND hugging and kissing made it seem less "groooooooooooss, mom." :)
That was an amazing post. I got all weepy-like at the sheer joy of it all. I really needed a little proof that the world can be (and is) full of wonderful, caring people. ::insert endless mushy love talk here:: Happy Birthday to your boy. xoxo

I'm usually a pretty snarky and obnoxious person, and I've had a heart of cotton candy, unicorn tears and DREAMS all weekend. :D
