Eleanor Apparated straight home from work. She only had half an hour to get ready before Ernie picked her up. Not much time at all, but they also had half an hour before they actually had to arrive at the party, and Eleanor found she couldn’t be sorry about spending a few minutes alone with him before hand.
When six thirty rolled around she was all ready to go. She was still a bit nervous about the dress she had picked up in Exeter the day before, and she hoped that the charm she had used to add some curl to her hair would hold up through the evening.
Ernie knocked right on time, and Eleanor took a deep breath to calm her nerves before answering the door.
