Summary: That precious first kiss can never be replaced or forgotten.
Author Note: This little ficlet was written as part of the Schmoop Bingo, the prompt being Kiss - First. This fic is actually the first part of a pair, set in the same J2 AU.
Partnering fic can be found here. I didn’t specify their ages in this fic but the next ficlet reveals that Jensen is 17 in this fic. As this is AU I see them being the same age or with Jared being only 6 months to a year younger than Jensen. This being me it does have a dash of angst in there too, I just can’t help myself! Thanks again to
Munibunny and
mpregloveranon for the cheer leading! Love you Ladies so much!
Jensen braced himself for he shock of cold he knew was waiting for him as he ran for the pier’s edge.
Leaping high into the air, he turned his body through the leap, tucking himself into tight ball and aiming for the biggest splash possible.
The ringing laughter that met his ears as he breached the surface once more had him grinning at the rush of warmth that raced through his body, completely oblivious to the cool temperature of the water around him.
His only focus was the shining hazel eyes sparkling at him in delight, and if he wasn’t mistaken, a glint of the heat that matched the heat that was pooling low in his own belly.
Stroking quickly to his new friend’s side, he bit at his lower lip as he tread water directly in front on him.
The inch or so of distance between them suddenly felt like miles.
All sound was swallowed by the thunderous rush of blood pumping furiously through him, his breath ragged and harsh as a tingling warmth spread through his outer limbs.
Almost as if drawn into an orbit, Jensen leaned in closer so his rapid breaths mingled with Jared’s own, their lips mere millimeters apart.
He smiled gently as he felt Jared draw in a sharp breath as his eyes seemed to devour Jensen’s whole face.
The look of pure hunger that enveloped his friend’s face had him pushing forward to clash their lips together in a rough almost primal kiss.
The flood of heat that spread through his body had him groaning to the press of lips that were fighting to devour him whole.
The sudden shock of cold water filling his mouth and nose had him coughing and spluttering and clawing frantically at the failing limbs in front of him.
As he had recovered his breath their gazes met as they clung to each other tightly.
Laughter spilled deep from both of them as the adrenalin of the kiss and resultant dunking started to leave them and their surroundings returned to their senses.
A sudden almost shyness took over Jensen and he ducked his head quickly as a his cheeks blushed scarlet.
Treading quietly in the water, his head snapped back up as he felt tentative fingertips stroke at this blood warmed cheeks.
The gentle acceptance and invitation in Jared’s gaze had him smiling once more and pushing forward to entwine himself in his waiting embrace.
The gentle brush of Jared lips to his had him pushing back with a tentative swipe of his tongue.
The low groan that resonated through Jared into his own chest had him twisting them around in the water so that their kicking legs could tangle around each other so that every inch of them could press against the other.
It was minutes before he broke their all consuming kiss for much needed air.
The overwhelming sense of contentment and dare he say it, love, he felt was reflected back at him in the shimmering gaze currently holding his own.
Jensen pulled Jared in close to him and clung on tight as the fleeting thought that this seemly endless summer was drawing to a close, filtered through his euphoria.
They were only here for the Summer and all too soon he and his parent would be packing up the Summer home once more for his return to school and his parent’s work.
Somehow he would keep what they had found with each other alive despite the vast distance that the end of Summer would bring.
In the meantime, he would make the most of what he had found this glorious Summer.
